A Good Tasting Dish Makes The Soul Smile

Food Recipe: Parmesan Chicken Alfredo Pasta

xlovelyday:

Today’s recipe is another one of my personal favorites! It’s super simple & easy to make. All you need are a couple of ingredients and a little bit of time! Here I tried to make the dish a little bit healthier by substituting  regular pasta  with whole wheat pasta and  regular cream with sour cream. I also don’t like the taste of parsley, so I substituted that with spinach. Feel free to adjust the taste to your liking and use ingredients that you like!

Ingredients:

5-6 Cloves of Garlic

5 Mushrooms

1 can of Chicken Broth

2 Tbsp Corn Starch

1/4 cup Sour Cream

Spinach (optional)

Salt & Pepper

Garlic Powder

Oregano (optional)

Oil

Water

Grated Parmesan

Chicken Breast

Whole Wheat Spaghetti Pasta

Triple Smoke Burger

This Burger ranked 1st in the epicuruous.com’s list of top burgers. Although I find the avocado granish on it, I’s still want to cook it someday. This boy looks yum! :)

Look at this BEAUT! So YUMMEY!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons minced chipotle in adobo, including some sauce, divided
  • 8 bacon slices
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef chuck (not lean)
  • 2 teaspoons sweet smoked paprika
  • 1 large red onion, cut into 4 (1/2-inch) thick rounds, each stuck with a wooden pick to keep it together
  • 1 firm-ripe avocado, quartered lengthwise, peeled, and cut lengthwise into 1/3-inch thick slices
  • Olive oil for brushing on onion and avocado
  • 4 hamburger buns, grilled or toasted

Accompaniment:

  • lettuce; cilantro sprigs

Special equipment:

  • instant-read thermometer

Procedure:

In a food processor or blender, purée mayonnaise, mustard, and 1 tablespoon chipotle; transfer to a bowl.

Cook bacon in batches in a skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until crisp; transfer to paper towels to drain.

Gently mix beef with 1 tablespoon chipotle, paprika, and 1 teaspoon salt until combined. Form into 4 (4-inch) patties.

Prepare a grill for direct-heat cooking over medium-hot charcoal (medium heat for gas).

Meanwhile, brush both sides of onion rounds and avocado slices with olive oil.

Oil grill rack then grill onion rounds, turning over once, until slightly charred, 2 to 3 minutes total. Discard wooden picks.

Grill avocado slices, turning once, until grill marks appear, about 30 seconds on each side.

Grill patties, covered only if using a gas grill, until they reach 160°F on an instant-read thermometer, approximately 5 to 6 minutes on each side.

Put sauce on buns and make burgers with lettuce, avocado, bacon, onion, and cilantro.

I wish that I could cook this for my babe :)

Grilled Chicken & Bacon Fettuccine Alfredo

I searched for good promising and yummy recipes but failed to retrieve something that really bought me. I found this recipe from healthyfood.com - which they named

Creamy smoked chickenbacon and mushroom fettuccine

I made alterations, JUST alterations for some reasons:

  1. Ingredients are hard to find since it is foreign
  2. Evaporated milk and Flour are options, but i havent tried them yet, so might as well use Whipping cream for the sake of posting

Ingridients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil/ butter
  • 1 small onion, Finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 rashers rindless eye bacon, cut into small pieces, crisp
  • 1 1/2 cups mushroom, quartered
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  •     Nestle Whip Cream
  • 1 smoked chicken breast, cut in 1 cm cubes

Procedure:

Step 1 Heat oil in a frying pan. Gently fry onion and garlic. Add bacon. Cook for 2 minutes. Add mushrooms. Cook for 2 more minutes.

Step 2 Add basil, evaporated milk and flour to pan mixture. Bring to a light boil, stirring regularly, so it doesn’t stick to pan. Allow to simmer until it thickens./ or Nestle Whip Cream

Step 3 Cook fettuccine following packet directions. Drain. Drizzle with a little olive oil and set aside.

Step 4 Add smoked chicken to pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Add cooked fettuccine to coat in creamy mixture. Cook for about 1 minute until food is heated through.

Step 5 Transfer to a serving dish. Serve with a garlic bread.

Good for 4, 20 minutes Prep Time
